What makes your area special to customers?
I head up Tharsus Supply Chain. Our job is to set up the physical supply chain - that is all the parts and services which will be needed - to successfully make your product. It’s all too easy for quality issues and cost escalation to creep into developing new products which can prove fatal to the viability of it. Our job is to make sure this doesn’t happen.
Setting up a good supply chain is very time consuming and there a lots of potholes to trip the unwary. We’ve a lot of experience within the team of identifying the right suppliers and negotiating the right contracts with them to make sure your Strategic Machine is produced on time, on budget and to the very best quality.
What makes us special is our bespoke approach to our work with you. Lots of companies use the same supply chain to deliver to multiple customers. Which means the customers’ needs are made to fit the existing chain. At Tharsus, we know the needs of your product are unique, and tailor the chain around you. Not the other way round.
What are you aiming for your team to become?
For my team, I take technical excellence and experience as more of a given. I feel it’s really important for them to be ‘people people.’ Our work involves a lot of face to face contact with you and the suppliers, and it’s these relationships which will be key to your product’s success.
The team has a continuous improvement ethic. By being as agile as we possibly can, then the faster and better we can work with you. But I think most importantly, we’re about making our work with you an end to end thing. We will become your partner in not just your manufacturing, but in the entire journey to realising your Strategic Machine.
