In a statement, UEFA reiterated its intention to hold the Euro 2020 football tournament this summer. Under Boris Johnson's roadmap, up to 10,000 fans, or 25% capacity, could be allowed back into stadiums. This would mean fans will be able to watch the first group games of the Euro 2020 at Wembley. A key priority for organisers will be ensuring fans are protected from the virus. Lessons can be learnt from the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon, which we were proud to support. Our wearable device Bump helped participants maintain social distancing by sending alerts to its wearers. This is just one example of how robotic innovation could help fans return to events in time for a bumper summer of sport.
